So, this is my first blog. I figured this is a good way to recap what is happening in my life and help me to process everything that is going on. So where do I start? I'm Lauryn. I'm a junior in college majoring in Music Education. I want to be an elementary music teacher. I love working with kids and I can't wait to start my career. On the other hand, I am really scared about the future and really not ready to grow up. I am almost 20 years old and I have been with my boyfriend Steven for almost 4 years. He is the love of my life. He always makes me feel better when I'm sad or discouraged and is always there for me. I'm scared that I'm so young and that I have already found the love of my life. I consider myself super lucky but I also am scared sometimes that it is too good to be true.
God is the biggest part of my life. Every day I try to live my life for Him. I know I don't always succeed, but I have faith that it will all pay off in the end. Tonight I went to FBC here in Wichita Falls and I saw Addison Road perform and heard Mark Cahill speak. Mark talked about just communicating with people. How you can go up to people and just ask them a simple question and start a conversation with them that could change their lives forever. Like "What do you think will happen after you die?" Simple, to the point. Yet, it has so much potential to speak to people. I feel like I definately need to do more stuff like this. And even just openly talk about God in conversation more. I feel like people know that I'm a Christian, but I don't think it is because I tell them I am. And I totally should tell them!
Also, when Addison Road performed it was really good! Just being able to worship with them and hearing Jenny's voice in person was super cool! Their song What Do I Know of Holy has really spoken to me. It helps me to realize how GREAT God is and how much more I could do to praise him. I still can't even fathom how HOLY God is but I know that I should be praising and worshipping him every chance I get.
Um.. I think that is all I have for now. :D
